Title: thin ring osage
Post by: Renacs on March 15, 2011, 10:56:00 PM
I have a nice snakey piece of osage that about has we beaten. The rings are ultra thin and now im running out of wood.  so i've decided to back the bow.  My question do yout hink i can get away with some bad violations with out making it a flat bow. And i have sinew or silk to work with.

I love thin ringed osage. Try your best to chase a ring then back it with rawhide.
How bad are the violations? Pics?

The rings are about 1/32.i have made 2 shooters from this tree, but this one has givin me hell. I think tree times now i've viiolated them.  And it is very snakey.  I should probally set it down for  awhile.  And thank you both i've learned alot from you two and have a well armed group of children now.  This is my backup computer and i can use my san card on it. i'll try soon to post some.
