Title: Bowyer has a question on takedown inserts.

Im on the hunt for the double threaded inserts.So far best i have found is $3.00 each.Has anyone found a sourse less than that.That cost is from "Fasenal" thats for a bulk of 500 count.Like everyone just tring to keep cost down.

I bought some from Rockler way cheaper than that. I think they call them threaded adapters? Can't really remember, but they do have them and I'm thinking they were like $6 or $8 bucks for a bag of 6 or 8 inserts? No where near $3 bucks a piece! Wow! Are they made of silver or platinum.....LOL

I actually believe the ones I bought are stainless? I'd have to go check, their in my toolbox.

I just made a few inserts of my own, brass rod is cheap, less than $2 per foot. This only works well if you have access to a lathe though.

can't beat bigffots service and his prices are great too.
I just bought a bunch of stuff fromhim. Heat strips, the inserts and washers you are talking about. He shipped them right out. Him and Kenny are super to deal with. so is Dale Stahl.
