Title: Stabilizer Bushing
Post by: Lamplighter on March 11, 2011, 08:35:00 AM
New here-first post. Hope this is the correct place for this Question.

If I want to ADD a stabilizer bushing to an existing recurve bow, what is involved and where do I get a bushing ?

3 rivers use to sell the bushings- easy to install, drill and install using epoxy. If you are drilling through glass on the riser- put a piece of tape on first to avoid a glass splinter.

What Trux said, also try to get a pilot point drill bit. It will also help reduce the splintering. Bingham's also sells the insert bushings, or you can make your own out of a brass bolt.

If they are like limb bolt bushings they are also tapped and threaded in the hole...
