Title: Cool Scraper Idea
Post by: CaptainJ on March 09, 2011, 07:55:00 PM
We had no good skate sharpening locally so I bought some hockey skates that have replaceable blades called the t-blade system. I keep the used blades and use them for scrapers. They work great! You could go down to your local rink and see if any of the hockey players use them and ask for the discards or hockey monkey has them for $15 a pair - great price for quality steel scrapers!

Here's what they look like and some nice little shavings:

Hmmm, have to keep my eyes open. Don't have any hockey around here but sometimes see skates at second hand stores, etc.
