Title: Easier than I thought
Post by: matts2 on February 19, 2011, 09:26:00 PM
I made up a Flemish jig from the plans on this forum and made up a test string today.  Watched a bunch of videos online and it went a lot better than I thought.  It was actually pretty easy.  Its not 100% perfect, but I am very happy with it.

The issue I had was the strings twisting while doing the second loop.  I did separate and untwist the colors before doing the second loop.  I also twisted the whole string before the second loop.  I think I either twisted the string too much or not enough.  The colors were twisted about 5-7 inches from first loop and then the strands were straight all the way to the second loop.  Is that from over twisting or under twisting.

If you need practice mine is a 62" longbow.  :bigsmyl:

Look like you did a nice job on it.
