got home from work this morning and my 6 year old nephew was at the house. I asked him if he wanted to hang out with me in the bow shop while I worked on my swap bow. He said how about we we build him a bow. So off the wood shop we go to make him first stik and string. :bigsmyl:
I'll post some pics later.

Your such a great uncle! Can't wait to see the pics.
My kids are the same way. If I can convince them to go to the shop with me they want me to build something for them. And of course I don't have the heart to turn them down. Hahaha
Finally got my photo bucket issues worked out.

It ain't done yet. I need to go get him back over in the shop and get it finished up and get him some arrows built so he can go do some stump shooting.
Next year he should be in the swap, heck maybe that is what we should do for a swap, enter kids and help them build a bow to pass on. Hmmmm lets get thru this one first.

Wow Sticks, that little cub bow sure turned out sweet! I bet your little buddy there is steppin' pretty high with a fancy bow like that all skinned out with blackies!
I've often wondered what blackies (black snake skins) would look like on an Osage bow, we've got a ton of them here. Now I know and I think it's a great looking combo. I'm gonna have to keep my eyes out for a biggin, they get killed on the road here all the time in front of the house. If I can get one that's not too mangled up it's gonna go on one of my favorite sticks.
Great way to finish up! :clapper:
Nice bow Kris. I'm sure your little buddy loves his new bow and his big buddy!
Semo, The skin off that snake came off a county rd. and it was a good one.
Pat, That boy loves to piddle in the shop and tag along in the woods. This winter he drug several nice beavers back to truck and wouldn't let me help. He's a dandy for sure.
I had to make him promise he wouldn't shoot anyone with it, He watches them cowboy and indian movies with the Duke and has got to shoot everybody and everything, LOL I think I got him on the right path though. He knows that bow is only for shootin critters :biglaugh:
Great bow! I'm sure he will remember that forever.
Jay
Right on Kris, Thats the way to birth the next generation. Good for you Bro!
Kelly that might be a good idea.
That looks awesome, When he out grows it, can I have it? LOL
Great job, Stiks. Tell Sam it's awesome!

Nice job! Keep us posted on how he is doing with it.
Just awesome :clapper:
Gonna build some primitive arra's with some bird points for Sam as soon as I get my hand's on some. :bigsmyl: I'll have to let him sling those at some bunnies this winter and hopefully the neighbors cat won't disappear, If it does we'll have to teach him the 3 s' a little early. shoot, Shovel, and shush! LOL
