Got one I painted green a few years ago HAHA. Got black hickory around here but never heard of green hickory.

Here's what I mean,,, Shellbark Hickory, 62" 50#@28" Meet "Rabbit Hole". Got four more green arrows to finish up today.

The Native Americans of the past would have given you a heck of a trade for that bow. Is that a glass eye set in the hole? My next bow is going to be a hickory selfer , I hope it turns out as nice. Looks great   :clapper:

Nice!  How wide is it?  At 62", did it take much set?  I'm not too far from you, so I assume our humidity is pretty close.  I'm ready to start another Shagbark

i've used the rit dye and alcohol for arrows and most recently for a short pyramid bow for my daughter. she said she wanted a bow in her favorite color. PURPLE. i've used the yellow for laminated birch shafts and they look like osage. very nice bow btw.

Yes it is Osagetree but George, someone started calling me osage whisperer so I had to do a couple hickory's to show osage is not all I do!!  :biglaugh:
