:clapper:
that cedar is gorgeous...
Nice find there!
I can almost smell it! Should get a few shooters out of that!
CJ
Phil, you did good sir. Nice load of wood, that cedar looks great from the pics.
David
Great lookin wood! Bet I can guess which was easier to split. :biglaugh:
okie you got that right. That hickory is tough stuff and the cedar is so easy to split. Almost to easy, I have to watch it.
Nice!
Phil, that wood doesn't look too good, maybe you should just ship it all to me:)
Roy, not real sure but you seem just a bit to eager there my friend. Just saying.
:)
now why would you give roy that nice wood; he would just draw all over it with his crayons. :bigsmyl:
any way that is a nice load
Newbe question. On the cedar, is the sap or heart wood used- or both? Also for self bows or laminates& backing/bellys. I always viewed cedar as a soft/ week wood. Thanks!
Dennis
Any other forum and I would have been afraid to open this thread
Nice pile of wood. Don't make it firewood!!!
Good luck!
Nice haul Old Guy. Both good bow woods.
Dennis, any or all can be used in bows. I have seen all sapwood ERC bows that were great shooters.
In the DVD "Full Circle" the guy made an all sapwood ERC bow, sinew backed, that shoots great.
