well i got the bug to build me a blind bow for turkey hunting so i got to work taking a stave down to size. took a few min. on the planer and the table saw. I found some walnut and a nice piece of cedar my Papa has had put up for a good while.... so here are some pics.

got my riser cut out and and bow number 3 glued up gotta love how easy a job is when you have the right tools

Sure is looking good and you are spot on about having the proper tools for the job. Just wish I had them myself.
Well had the day off here she is... its gonna be close to 60 @28. I thought about staining the hickory but i dunno i kinda like it..... still have some finishing stuff but enjoy

heres the surprise.... timber rat skins stopped em both 3in from the tip to allow for stringing etc....

its actually white oak... sorry i had to scrap the hickory/cedar... due to the learning curve with my new sander.... lol..

yea i really love the cedar in this bow... i believe this will be my turkey bow this year unless someone makes me an offer to good to turn down...
