Title: Help with first reflex deflex Bamboo backed Hickory
Post by: aloehunter on January 30, 2011, 02:57:00 AM
What dimensions will be the best for the above combination?

Thinking of 68" tip to tip -1 and 3/4" at fades tapering in straight line to 1/2" tips.
Alternative - 1and 3/4" at fades to mid limb tapering to 1/2" tips.

Thanks
John

I go 1 1/2"- 1 1/4" @ the fades on a bow that long with hickory bellies. No special reason just works for me. 1 3/4" will work also...

You will probably have to go narrower than
1 3/4" with a boo backing unless you have very large diameter bamboo or it will be too thick.
