In case some of you don't know.....last year's swap went very smoothly except for a small hiccup with the guy who was suppose to build for me. After he went off the "radar" several guys stepped up and offered to build my bow. A wonderful gesture and thanks to all that offered! I chose David (DVShunter) to build my bow and what a fine job he did. It came in today but my wife got to it first and hid it!!! So after playing hot/cold I finally got to unpackage and hold it. Thank you so much David. If you go to OJAM and I can make it, I look forward to shaking your hand.
Here are a few teaser pics. It's got a knot in the handle (which is awesome), the skins are great, the tip overlays are sweet, and the string/fur silencers are cool too. I strung her up, exercised her a little, and took her to full draw and can't wait to put an arrow through her. Thanks again David!!!!

The finish is top notch too!!! Thanks for looking....i'm a happy camper!
Very nice...gotta love the folks on TG
Cool looking bow, love the grip area!
Good things come to those who wait !
I got one of DVShunter's bow last year for the swap, Great shooting bow.
Good job David, that bow looks awesome !!
Nice bow! Lots of "Great" character in the bow and bow maker.
Tyler, I plan on being at OJAM again this year hope you make it and be sure to bring that bow along.
Congrats on the bow!
David
tyler, I'm glad you like it. I had a hell of a time with the skins on that bow. I'll be at ojam. Look me up and well go shoot a round.
great looking bow.
awesome. ruddy
Begin a swap with the end of a swap. Looks like a long wait was well worth the outcome. Ruddy said it pretty well,"awesome."
Stan :clapper:
Love the character. AWESOME BOW!!!
yep awesome have to agree.
That is great! Glad it all came together in the end. :)
This is what it is all about. Nuff said!!! d;^)
You should consider yourself pretty lucky, I don't live 60 yards from Dave and he hasn't made me a bow yet! I know he put a lot of hard work into that bow I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy living as close as I do to someone who shares the passion for building bows as much as I do! Congrats and happy shooting
looks great, only people that build and shoot can appreciate what go's into them
That is one tough looking Osage. Enjoy it in good health.
Thanks everyone. I got up early and "eye-balled" it before work. I still can't get over the finish, what did you use David? My tung oil never comes out that pretty.....
Great job Dave! What a guy who steps in and evens things up when somebody else drops the ball. That really says alot about your monumental character as both a person and a fellow Trad Ganger!
 :campfire:
SWEEEEEEET!
thanks for the kind words everyone. Remember, I wasn't the only one who offered, just the lucky one that got picked. Anyone would have done the same for any one of us if the shoes were on the other feet. That's what I like about this place.
tyler- I used tru-oil for the finish...about ten coats. I was trying to fill the skins in a bit more to give them a glasslike feel. It has a ff string right now, but if you prefer dacron, I can make you one and send it to you. I just like the way ff feels over the sponginess of B-50.
