hi guys i have a bear tigercat 45# that the lower limb started to seperate at the tip.only goes up an inch or so.... can this be fixed and if so how??? wanted to ask some folks that know more than i do about it.... its a sentimental bow and i hate to just put it on the wall if it can be fixed and shot again ... its actually the bow that got me back into this after many years of compounds...... anyways Thanks Jamie
I believe it can be fixed. There are others on here that can give better advice though. My guess would be to carefully clean as much between the two layers as best you can without causing more separation. Then carefully squeeze some CA (super) glue into the area using a syringe. Clamp it together and let it sit for a good 24 hours. I would wait 2-3 days before stressing the glue joint. But as I said before, don't just go by my advice, see what the others are suggesting too.
move your post to trad history and collecting forum. ask "bowdoc". he does repair/ refinishing on bear bows.
