Title: Laminate Bow Build Directions?
Post by: Hick-From-Hell on January 14, 2011, 10:12:00 AM
I would like to try and make my first ever laminated bow, are there any books or directions on how to make everything inculding the forms for the bow and step by step directions?  I have been wanting to do this for a long time and would like some general direction.  Thanks in advance.

Bingham's Projects or Bingham's Archery will bring up the principal beginner's source site.   There are also many build alongs on the web.  Do a lot of studying.  Follow along on the Trad Gang Bow Swap threads, just now starting.   By July, they will have covered an awful lot of bow building by the 80 odd participants (and, yes, some of us are very odd!)

I have a pretty complete beginner's resource posted on my site,  www.dickwightman.com (http://www.dickwightman.com)    Just click on "Archery Activities" and go exploring.  Covers forms, ovens and much more

And Hick if there are now current projects on the type of bow you want to build just do a search under the build a long, how too, bowyers bench and POWPOW. Do one at a time so you are not over loaded with treads. I bet you will find one that will work.
