Hello everyone. First time posting here. I have owned several traditional bows throughout the years but have never been real serious about hunting with them. I have always been more of a gun hunter. Several times I have hunted with wheel bows but it has always been more of a frustration dealing with sights, rests and releases, etc. One day at the archery range I got so mad that I removed the sight from my wheelbow and started shooting barebow with fingers. I hunted that way the following spring but at times there were still tuning issues. Several years ago I attended the Trad Expo west in Ontario OR. After shooting several bows and meeting several of the celebrities of traditional archery, I was convinced that someday I would own a longbow. Financial hardship kept me from living the traditional dream until this last year. Since November of 06 I have been able to aquire several bows off of ebay. A Howatt Bushmaster 60#, Bob Shelby Mustang 65#, and now my latest is a Bob Lee stick 58" 57#. I have no trouble at all shooting the heavier bows but the Bob Lee is my favorite. Shoots where I look and will fit in a turkey blind. I hope to make some new friends at the Expo in Boise in March and I am already making my plans for spring bear and turky. Bushhawg.
Nice to have ya around our campfire. The Bob Lee is a sweet bow and you will do well with it!! c :campfire:

Howdy Bushhawg. There's a lot of great guys here at tradgang, and a wealth of information too. The camaraderie of traditional archery is downright enjoyable. :)
