Title: anyone try to build their own two piece sleeve
Post by: lovethehunt on December 29, 2010, 12:40:00 PM
I have tried to start this before and didn't get very far. I have built several straight limb longbows and love to shoot my own stuff. I fact, I had a handle failure in 2009 on a 3pc I built and used my Great Plains recurve for a couple of weeks. I love that bow and shot a buck with it but felt guilty for not using a bow I built. I was blessed enough to go to AK this year and am totally convinced a take-down is must for that kind of travel. I really like the carbon sleeve two piece. Jack Harrison did an article on them in TBJ. Has anyone tried it? I plan on starting a new bow in Jan. or Feb.
