I noticed there's been a bunch of talk about BBI's and even though I posted at other sites I figured I'd share this bow here.
64" TL 1 1/8" wide until about midlimb, tapers to 7/16" nocks. 60# @ 28"

Great looking draw profile and brace profile. Lovely riser work, as well. Tip overlays?
Thanks guys.
It shoots smooth (very little stack) fast and suprisingly quiet.
Vanillabear,
Will BBO's handle this profile in your experience.
Here's the only overlay pic I have handy. Osage and walnut.

You know I haven't made enough of them I think with the same profiles, weight etc. to get a good enough idea. The last HBO R/D I glued in a bit more deflex and it took a bit more set. That HBO was my best bow at the time but I think this one is better. A true Speed between the 2 is hard to tell because this BBI is 10lbs heavier and I'm shooting the same arrows (Don't have a Chrono either). But this one stacks less and is quieter. I'm still playing with tiller profiles because I can't find agreement on ideal tiller LOL
But I think you're right to have stiffer outer limbs on Osage. I wonder if if the relfex portion should make up less of the limb when you don't let it bend as much? Thoughts on that?
Lovely bow...voted for you over on PA :)
Thanks for the votes guys.
Vanilla, what's your screenname over there?
I think the answer to figuring out the best places for Reflex is to just make more bows :-) Like I needed a reason to make more....
Awesome bow. One day I will get the nerve to make myself one.
Shawn
LOL nope didn't know it was you. I've got to tell ya, you are one the guys that seeing your work inspires me to try harder on the next one. So thanks for that.
@Shawn, Thanks, they are fun and when you do, there's plenty of people out there to help ya.
NTD,
Beautiful bow! I am also in Arizona, but I am having trouble finding a local source for quality bow building wood. Where do buy your wood?
Thanks!
Thanks AZ. Where in Arizona are you at? I have not had much luck with bow wood here. Found one place, Woodworker's Source, that has some nice wood for laminate stuff but it's touch and go. I trade for most of my stuff.
Excellent bow! Some of you make this look so effortless.
Stan
good lookin bow there. I'm about to make one too. I hope it turns out like yours.
Thanks guys.
Stan, it was everything BUT effortless LOL.
DVSHUNTER, Is it gonna be your first?
it will be my first bbi yes
