Hi,
I would like to build a no shelf take-down bow, any ideas, please? Thanks Mike.
That's easy. Start your limb flares at the end of the take down sleeve and add a floppy rest.
I love no shelf bows and have made a number of them. I've also made a number of take downs... just never combined the two ideas. I use the connexion hinge system, which to me is the easiest and I can't see any reason not to make one shelfless. in fact, I'm sitting here thinking about converting my favorite one as I type... Don't know why I never thought to do it! Pat B's idea with the sleeve would work, too, just a matter of which system you're more comfortable building to.
You can find info on installing the hinge on my pages:

click on Archery Activities
If you go to the Gallery, check out "Look at Me" and "Roadtrip" ... both shelfless
Try a take down kit from 3Rivers - Take down kit (http://www.3riversarchery.com/Product.asp?c=49&s=82&p=0&i=4461X)
This is an easy way to do what you are looking for.
Thanks guys,I am thinking about a riser for a 3 pcs. bow.Thank you again. Mike
