I have a BP Colt 40 lbs @28 recurve.I also bought some B50 material from 3 Rivers to make Flemish strings for my board bows.Can I use the same to make a Flemish for the Ben Pearson?

Thanks,for some reason I had the impression that recurves like this required a string of a different type,maybe I am thinking compounds.
