If you were to write a message on the limb that was to be glassed over how would you go about it? what would you use. Large "font".
Thanks yall,
Jason
Gonna have alot of questions here for awhile! Reading through some posts and yall are a wealth of info for a wanna be bowyer! Thank you again
Normally I write on the outside of the glass, and just spray my finish over it.
Another cool way is to print out on computer ( UNLIMITED GRAPHICS) and cut out and burn edges, glue on riser and cover with finish ..worked out great for me !

I did this one for my Buddie Greg that passed away a few months ago...Were hunting together now !!
im going to end up doing some work on the back of my wifes bow , but its going to be more design and art than simple writing/marking. for that im gonna do the old graffiti marker...

getstonedprimitivebowhunt,
Any thoughts on how this might work if it were placed under a clear lam?
I have done a few bows, with different technique. This is the first bow i have made for my daughter Caroline. I just painted the tribal graphics with a black marker on the back of the bow.

On my recurves I did so far I laminated a linen with a camo print under the glass and it just looks awesome.

That is another thing I was thinking about was a camp job under glass - guess it is the same thing?
Thanks for the replies - it is for my daughter I want to learn to build a bow.

Andy, that is a cool looking recurve Knifemaker
I've always wondered why Linin or silk under clear glass would not work great for camo. There is some really neat stuff you could do. I think I may build one for myself and shoot it a couple of years before I do any for the public though.God bless you all with a great day.Steve
