Has anyone used Krylon Chrystal spray can finish on a bow with good results? I haven't built a bow for several years and I used to use Defthane satin finish and loved it. I just built a bow but can't find it anywhere so I was wondering on this finish but it only says acrylic not laquer or poly. Is acrylic comparable to either? I don't want it to crack after I shoot it. Just looking for some input. Thanks, Rob
I don't know about it. I to used to use the Defthane, now use the Helsmann Sparr Urethane, works great, give it a try don't think it will disappoint you.
any krylon these days is garbage. get a rustoleum satin clear. krylon is so crappy cause of graffiti , they make it basically so water washes it away.
im only recommending rusto cause i have used it on other things. i havent finished a bow , but i know spraypaint , so stay away from anything krylon..

I have used Krylon Krytal with great results. The stuff is fantastic, dries fast even over oily woods and fills the grain. Can be recoated anyting. I have used it on my last 4 bows. I sand or steelwool between coats (about 4-5)and get a glass like finish. Better than I ever got with Ureathane or Lacquer.
Saw someone post about this stuff a few months back and went out and bought me some. Best stuff I've used so far. Only place I found it was Hobby Lobby though. Dries fast and smooth.
My local Walmart carries Krylon Crystal
