Title: Recurve Limbs
Post by: Bob Tebeau on September 18, 2010, 06:43:00 PM
When you belly mount take down recurve limbs do you need to turn the wedge around so that the flat side is against the flat pads? How much of a performance change is there when you belly mount flat verses back mounted at 21 degrees or so? I have never tried it and want to give it a shot

Thanks

Bob, however you make it I would ensure the limbs pads mate well with the limbs, thus turning the wedge around...or just grinding a full even taper on your wedge should do the trick.  There are a lot of variables going into the performance change..try laying out your design and post a pic to get some thoughts.
