Post by: IdahoCurt on September 09, 2010, 11:03:00 AM
Hi,Does anyone have a link to how two piece bows such as Big Jims are made?
I remember seeing a thread about it but can't find it now.
Thanks

I think there was an article in Primitive Archer about that.  I believe they used fiberglass cloth from the auto store and soaked it in 2-ton epoxy to shape the handle and form the sleeve.  It's on one of the sites, this one or the other one.  It's just a bear to find it.

I have been wanting to see the same thing. I sure hope someone finds it and posts it or maybe someone will do a build-a-long with one.

Found it.  The article I was thinking of is in the Spring '09 issue of TradArcher's World magazine.  It covers the process.  In the article he mentins that he sells a kit and DVD also.
