This is my first attempt at an osage character bow and my first bow out of osage.Special thanks to Gstoneburg for makin this bow possible.Heres the stats:
56.5"NTN
62#@26"
Limbs are 1"w. at handle straight to last 10" tapers to 7/16"
1/4" long X 3/16"wide pin nocks
Backed with burmese python courtesy of NateD.
Handle is Jute Wrap (Massey finish to strengthen split in handle)topped with leather (courtesy of Mullet)
Deer track Floppy rest backed with Burmese
Slightly Flipped Tips Dyed with Black and Scarlett Rit Dye
1.5"set relaxin to 3/4" an hour or so after shooting
This bow Really tested what little skill i have and just about had me pullin my hair out.The tiller was my problem area so on this bow I really slowed it down and went with the wood. Heat treated the belly and removed what twist i could.Bottom limb is 1.5" shorter than the top due to a split while flipping the tips.Overall this bow tested me and in the end we pulled it together and agreed that it would stay together and shoot hard.It really zips one with alot of thwack!!Hand shock is nearly absent and it is whisper quiet.Special thanks to all who contributed to this bow. Thanks for looking and Enjoy!!

Stiks
Yep,, nice, I like it!
great job I love the pic that shows the string down the center with all the turns in the bow, when you can do that you increase your skills 10 fold. again great job.
Great Job Randy. I know what you mean about wanting to pull your hair out....good thing I shave my head. My Osage longbow is about to wear me slick!!
Just when I think I finally got it where I want it, something else goes wrong. Right now it's arrow flight problems. I may just have to go with carbons for my longbow?? I hate the thought of that too.
The recurve is shooting awesome though, so that's a plus.
Nice lookin bow, now get out and get your hands bloody!!
thanks guys i'm really proud of this one!Even more so after today.Measured cast today and with aluminums i got 208yds and with 650 grain high back shield feather cedars i got 184yds.i think its gonna do just fine:)
