This is a work in progress.. not a build along. I am interested in thoughts on this work of course. i am about to start tillering and i am hopeful that this bow will survive... fingures crossed. brush knocks... they may need a little less mass?

is this ready for the short string? (http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af328/mcleodcarpentry/IMG00103-20100823-1339.jpg)
doesnt look like it to me, but i havent built any laminates yet. you need to get the limbs bending smoothly, at the same time working to about 5# over your intended draw weight at 10 inches of limb movement. from the pic it looks like your inner third is bending but the outer 2/3 is still stiff. as far as the nocks id leave em until youre about finished with the bow. leave em thick so you can narrow them later.
Nice out come on this bow man.. Been wanting to build one myself.
Failure!!!!!!!!!!!! this bow developed compretion fracture in the top limb pics and comments under "crack... I think?" aaaarrrrrrggggggg. i now need a bamboo sourse.
