Today while shooting my 3pc (won't name label) longbow, at full draw the bottom limb blew up! Smacked my face nicely ;) I intend to have the bowyer build me a new set of limbs or build a set myself, but my question is, I have a set of limbs that fit another 3pc riser I used to have, the holes don't quite match this riser, two pins and the bolt hole, can I fill the holes on the limbs that don't match with expoxy or something and redrill them so that they can fit the riser I have and then retiller the bow with the new limbs on it? I hate to just have these limbs sitting around, and it keeps me shooting until the new limbs can be built... Thanks in advance for any advice....
If the angle of the limbs is such that the brace height is close then yes to all. You can adjust with some wedges or shims. lots of guys have taken compound risers and put on already made limbs by this method.
May not be much to tillering except the wedges etc. to get the distance from the fades to string close.
Also filling in the old holes will only be needed if they are in the way or will cause a weak area.

The very first t/d I built I didn't have a drilling jig. Needless to say the holes on the limbs and the riser didn't match to well to say the least. I filled the holes with Devcon Plastic Steel and redrilled, kinda ugly but worked out fine. I don't really know if filling the holes was necessary or not just seemed safer to me at the time. I agree with macbow and would also say what do you have to lose.
