I am cutting my teeth slowly.. working with my 11 y.o. on his first bow ...
This was just a 4ft 1/4 inch redoak slat with a lil handle and straight taper with just some poplar and red oak sandwiched together.. a lil stain and the string off the 11y.o. 4 ft glass bow that he has outgrown...
pretty cool. very nice to see the young ones involved in the sport. i built my son a bow and he dont like it.lol. those kids bows can be a ton of fun to work designs around, on one i built i even flipped the tips and made a lil static recurve.
That's a fine looking first bow and a happy shooter.
