Title: Traditional Bowyer's Encyclopedia (or Trad Bowyer's of America) by Dan Bertalan
Post by: Lee Robinson . on August 03, 2010, 07:13:00 PM
Anyone here read it? What did you think? I just ordered it, as I found a copy for about $12 that was like new. I hope it isn't a waist, but even with shipping it will only be $15-16...so I figured no big loss either way. I am just curious what those who have read it thought about it.

Very good book. I bought it many years ago when I was thinking about building glass bows. Lots of good info and many personal secrets and tricks for building glass bows. I believe there are two wood bow builders in it also.

I too have had one for years, loaned it to someone never got it back.  I thought enough of it to order a replacement.  I think you spent your money well.

I bought copy when first edition came out...and loved it.  A lot of the bowyers in that edition are no longer with us...and many others of note have joined the ranks.  I have contemplated buying the newer version to see the changes...
