very cool, i also love those short bendy handle bows. my last attempt failed but it was in itself an experiment to see how much i could get away with before the bow failed. if you still have the shavings or a piece of the stave left and it turns grey after weathering it might very well be white oak. if so they are indeed said to be great bow woods.red oak has very coarse grain too, which that bow doesnt look near the grain red oak has.

Love them short bows.  Ya really got that one to bend, wow......I wanna build me a paddle bow too.  Always thought they looked cool.  Good job.  :thumbsup:
