Title: dry join...can it be fixed?
Post by: Johan van Niekerk on August 01, 2010, 03:35:00 PM
I commited the no. 1 sin f bowyering. I was in a HURRY and didn't pay enough attention. Anyways, when my latest attempt came of the form I noticed that I didn't add enough clamping pressure at the one fadeout area. I now have a small gap right at the fade out between the riser and the bowtuff. Can this be fixed? or should I discard the bow?

Dont discard it, first get some thin superglue and keep dropping it in that gap (if there is a hole)  If your worried about too much pressure on the fade I would glue on some external power lams (search for power lams on here).  That will move the pressur out a bit from the fade.

Posting a pic would be good too if you can.
