You meet a lot of nice people here on the Tragang. I have met 5 or 6 soles since I joined up. All real nice people with a similar interest,,, building selfbows!
Sunday morning I met another fella by the name of Tony Chinn, who also lurks around here and lives a couple hours away. He drove down and we spent the day in the shop.
We worked a couple locust staves and glued up a hickory backed maple. Needless to say my tillering and a compromised backing led to failure of one stave and the second doesn't look much more promising than the first. Maybe the HBM we glued up will hold.
Anyway's it was a nice day except for the heat and I enjoyed myself and Tony's company. At the end of the day as Tony was leaving he gave me a nice knife that he made. A real nice gesture. So in the tradition of Tgang I in return gave him a sapling osage bow.
Here's a couple pictures of our day and our trade items

Next time you all hear from us we should be shooting that HBM we glued up.

Tony
awesome! I'm lucky enough to share my shop with a neighbor, chris. Four hands and eyes are better than two. Although Chris had never given me a cool knife.
Hey gang, thanks alot!
See ya sometime soon Tony...
Kenny, how about an early season camp & hunt trip in the Wayne National Forest this season? We won't go to the strip mines, though there is no blue tounge,,, yet,,, this year!!! Still think you made a great shot that day.
This season in the same place I saw the bigest buck I've seen in a while. Just missed,,, tell you the story sometime.
