Can anyone tell me where to buy highly figured wood blanks?

Thanks

Try Kenny's Custom Archery or Old Master Crafters.

Woodworkers Source is a good one.

If you can find a Wood Craft store, they usually carry a good selection of exotics that you can sort through until you find one that fancies you.

Likewise Rockler's.    If you enjoy gambling, you can find lots of good looking wood pictures on the auction site.  Some of it is almost as good as they make it look.  I've been burned a couple of times, but I've also gotten some real nice wood there.

I to like Dick am a little leary of ordering.  I have got some nice wood and some that I was far from awestruck by.  I try to get several pieces at a time when I find something nice.

The green turning blanks at woodcraft will warp or split some times.

If you're looking for something online, Burlsource over on bladeforums has a nice selection of figured woods. Just have to ask him to cut to size.
