Title: Set-up to spray Fullerplast, recommendations?
Post by: myshootinstinks on July 08, 2010, 12:03:00 AM
What spray gun, filters, etc do you fellas recommend?  I have a compressor and there is a shop in my near future.  Any and all advice appreciated as I've never used two part finishes on bows.  Thanks in advance, Doug

Doug, I use a singe action Pasche air brush with the largest nipple that comes with it.  I use a 3-4 oz bottle.  I use a little pancake compressor and spray 45 psi.  I thin the Fuller with around 1/3 thinner to 2/3 finish.  I haven't had good luck with any thinner except what they recommend, and sell at Van Dee.  Use a good chemical respirator!

Thanks Marty.  What is Van Dee, a supplier I presume? Do you have their contact info? Doug

I have used touch up guns and full sized gravety feed spray guns with good results.
