Hello,
I have got my read oak board bow moving about twelve inches and already a nasty twist is starting to appear on one of the limbs. The board is not twisted when it lies flat but only when I have it pulled. I have read that I need to remove wood from one side to even it out but I have done that and it does not seem to be working. Let me know what you think.
I hope I did this picture stuff right...

If the pictures don't work just go to:
guruthumb.com/bow.htm (http://www.guruthumb.com/bow.htm) to see them.
You need to remove wood from the high side. It twists towards the weak side. Jawge
pictures are way too big!!!!
when you load them in photobucket, set your upload size to 600 pixels wide. This will make them the right size as you upload and you won't have to fool with reducing size later.
One the twist, like Geo said, take wood off the side that it is twisting towards. This is the side that is bending less.
Thanks all I got it straightened out! Sorry about the pictures Ill try that Shaun.
Feel the thickness from one side of the limb to the other between your thumb and fingers. You will feel a thickness difference. Remove wood from the thicker side.
