Title: Seal sinew before snake skins?
Post by: razorsharptokill on June 30, 2010, 05:41:00 PM
I used TBIII on my sinew, do I need to seal it before I glue the skins on? Been about 3 months since I put sinew on. I have had it in my truck on hot days to help dry it more. It seems dry to me.

nope, just make sure the sinew is sanded down flat

I would clean the backing and glue the skins on with TBIII.

Probably a quick wipe with alcohol or acetone. Check the compatibility first. You could use Dawn dish soap and water. It is just to remove and body oils, dust or dirt that might have gotten it.

I would just hand sand smooth with some 80 grit and the glue should stick right to it
