OK, just got some woodies finished up for my upcoming cow elk hunt here in nevada. these were shot from the snake backed yew bow i posted a couple months ago. i have been shooting it a bit but finally decided to make a good set of woodies for it specifically.  these shafts were bought from bearpaw arrows. all spined 57# (all match spined, not 5# variance), cut 29 1/2" bop, with 125 grain magnus II 125 grain 2 blade heads installed. natural turkey feathers that i have a hard helical on and fronts tied down with artificial sinew. i tie all my feathers on. i burned the feathers to shape with a home made burner.  not a bad group for me.  the arrows fly like bullets, very straight. helps when you spend time and money on GOOD shafts.  I highly recommend his arrows and raw shafts.  the single one is from walking out to the garage, grabbin an arrow and shootin, more to simulate the 1 shot you may get at an animal.

sorry to ramble just thought i'd share.

Looks good! I'll be hopefully hunting cows on your boarder this fall if I draw a tag. If not I will be hunting spikes and cows on the genral hunt out there. I just wished I could get a bow made by then for the hunt.

Rich,
I got out and did a little early scouting this last weekend in a good cow and spike unit. Lots of tracks, I'll be out hunting hopefully in late Aug too.  We should get together later in the year. I'll hook you up with some more Yew.
Yea, pictures for sure, I want to see yours too.

Looks like the elk should be scared Rich!! Nice shooting!
I took my kids on a little trip last week to Colorado to check out the hunting area and do some camping and hiking. Looks like this year is gonna be sweet if things hold the way they are now!!
  Good luck to all!
