Post by: Renacs on May 14, 2010, 05:50:00 PM
I picked up a 1x6x6 at lowes today.  Can  it be made in to a b.b.?  and could you give me the layout for ~ a 45-50.  Thanks

the cedar from lowes, home depot etc will most likely be western red cedar and will not make a bow. eastern red cedar will make a very good bow, although ERC is not actually a cedar it is a juniper.

I have made many, many laminated kids bows (with glass) out of Western Red Cedar 2x2s from Lowes and Home Depot.  They make great bows when laminated!!
