Well, I finally got through a lot of sanding, filing, and shaping. The bow's finally done, just putting on the finish now. It's 64" nock to nock and is pulling 63# at 28.5".

After the finish sanding on it, I still have about a 1/4" positive tiller

Here's just after I put on the 2nd coat of Tru Oil. After the oil coats are finished, I have a can of Spar Urethane that I'll use to seal everything up.

Once finished, I have a bear hair rest and beaver balls to install. A friend gave me some Bow Hush to try out if I want to, as well. Now to get my own arrows :) .
I learned several things through the process of building this bow-it has several "character" spots that could have been much better. It's nowhere near what a lot of you folks build, but I want to say a sincere thank you for all of your help-I truly appreciate it.

looks great jeremy, glad it turned out so well.personally i have to commend you, i build board bows and self bows here and there and wouldnt have a clue doing a lam bow, so youve done well for your first bow. congrats its a beauty.
Thanks, Richard-but I gotta be honest...I think some of your board and self bows are harder, especially the self bows. Something about successfully taking a stave down to a workable bow AND having the tiller right seems really hard. Best part about the lam bow-just glue it all together and cut out the right shape and good to go :) . Maybe someday I'll have the courage to make a self bow.

Very Very Nice! Great Job! Love the form fiting riser, very nice touch!
Ah...I remember my first bow...Looked like hell and broke after the second shot. You've done great on the other hand! Keep up the good work because I know you are probably already itching to make another one!
Thanks, guys and Eric-I've already started a bow board (from 4est's buildalong)...I think the virus may have set in :)

its definitly addictive, when you finally get one done and youre admiring it and thinking" wow i really made this". great stuff indeed.
cool, when the finish is dry get outside and shoot it a bunch!
Very nice Jeremy! It sure looks a lot better than my first laminated bow. You should be proud of her!
Great job on your first!
