Post by: PV on April 07, 2010, 12:18:00 PM
Here's one I finished this week. Glass and Glue from Kenny M. Was originally going to be black glass but when I ground the walnut I thought it was too nice to cover.
Specs: 60" and 62" amo
40# and 48#
Aboo and walnut cores, powerlam and tip wedges
Phenolic and maple riser.
Clear and brown glass.
Need to  (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/Shortbldtr/IMG_0995-1.jpg)get a new camera.

Paul, that is a beauty! Do you make a separate string for the short knock spacing? One inch at both ends for the second knocks? Is that a purple heart "I" beam peaking out of the riser?

Thanks Shaun.. Yes. The bow takes 57" and 59" strings. The I beam is black phenolic with red phenolic, maple side plates in the center. Then black phenolic and maple going the other way. Clear as mud??

Looks great.  Nice work.  What was the layup of laminations you used.  Thickness and taper.  What is the length of the riser.

Having trouble loading pictures but here's a picture of another bow off same form Swissbow. She shoots great.Quiet and quick. Haven't run this one through the chrony yet but the bow in the picture shot 188 fps @10 gpp last year at the Walk The Talk event.

BMA The riser is 18" with a 24" power lam. Tip wedge 8" Total taper .003

That is really neat, you did a wonderful job.  The double shelf and dual nocks pretty cool, and versatile too boot.
