There hasn't been much trade bow building going on, let's see some pictures please.
hasnt been much trading eather. Im kinda on the short end of the stick.
We still got till the first week of july to get'em shipped. That was the deadline so don't panic fellers.
Kris
I haven't had the opportunity to work on my trade bow lately. I do have it almost floor tillered.
Iam putting a finish coat on my trade, If all goes well it will be in the mail by Sat. Better half has camera so no pics as of now.
Pete
My sinew's been dryin'. Back on it this weekend.
I have been working on mine, coming along, but have to go out of town for a week for work. Oh joy. I will try to get some pics up in a day or two.
Had to go back to work this week, so didn't have much time to work on my bow. But this evening I got the overlays and the grip shaped...

I also glued the tips and shaped the form with a rasp and sanding paper...
... and strung it up.

Unfortunately it was already to dark to shot some arrows. So I have to wait until tomorrow... d:-(

Andy
i like that style swissbow. I guess you guys have been silently working.
Glad to see some action, looking good Swissbow
Went shooting the bow today and I have to admit that I'm very pleased. Haven't measured the arrow speed, but they are going down very fast.

The bow is finished and ready for the final sanding before applying the finish. It's 62" long ( NTN ), draws 55@28 and it's for a right handed shooter ( or a left handed ?!?!? **** I don't remember... ). If the final sanding is done I guess it will be like two lbs lighter and spot on the desired draw weight.

I will admit, i have been lazy and havent been working on mine. I will tonight and i will post pics tomorrow.
I can't clain to have any bows worth trading but i am curious what this is all about?
Looking great swissbow!Looks like it really slings an arrow!
Nice work Andy. It is looking great.
Mines done, just have to buff it out. Work has been dogging me with ovetime though. There has got to be a better way to make a living!!!! i hope to get it in the mail next week.
Here are a few pics. of mine I didn't get as many as I intended. Lams. laid out for glue up
(http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/zz171/jess_stuart/100_3704.jpg)
Lams on the form the match stick just to keep the tip wedge in place. I wonder if a guy put some black powder on the form and lit it would temper the boo, toast the belly, and cure the smooth on all at once.
Here is everything on the form and ready to go into the oven for about six hours.
I didn't get any pics of the riser glue up and the limbs coming off the form. The riser is Honduras rosewood, and yellowheart the limbs are aboo with black glass. Haven't done any shaping to the riser yet.

Will be out of town all next week. I am looking forward to getting it finished up. Thanks for looking.
Nice Jess!! I've seen your bows and who ever gets this one will end up with a great bow. Just send it this way.
Thats going to be a beauty Jess!
I started applying the finish tonight...

looking good Andy,
I need to get back to work on mine after turkey season LOL
I hope to get some more done on mine over the weekend. I have it floor tillered !
The bows are looking great everyone !
I will finish mine after turkey chasin too. I did put some antler tips on the other day.
Nice Jess!! Nice job Swissbow!
I applied the finish, set the nocking point and now the bow is ready for shipping. Fortunately I have a friend that works at a company that produce cardboard boxes in all imaginable sizes. So he will build me a nice and stable box for the bow. I guess it will take 2 or 3 weeks until the bow arrives at it's destination.

That is outstanding Jess! Thats going to make a luck tradganger
Great looking bow Jess
I hope to ship on Saturday or Monday for sure. She seems to be smooth on the draw and pretty quick of cast. It is 64" long and mid fifties in weight, hope the recipient enjoys it. (http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/zz171/jess_stuart/100_3874.jpg)art/100_

Nice choice on the wood combo also. The more bows I get, the more the black glass grows on me as well. Mark
Wow- that came out nice Jess!!! Another masterpiece.
Nice!! You did good sir.
I got a box built and shipped her off today. The lady at the p.o. said it should arrive early part of next week.
