90" of my riser shaping is done on this little sucker.  Probably the best bow making tool I have.

TBKII, looks like bjansen has the Rigid oscillating belt/spindle sander - a really nice tool

Im the same as Brad on this.  about 15 min and its roughed in and ready for some minor file work and orbital sander.

Just set up one like bjansen and it is NICE.

What is the blue sandpaper?

I can see using it a lot.

canadabowyer, got the pics. thats what i was looiking for. but i want to make one a little smaller. dont want to convert my 6x80 sander.  would like to do it with a 4x36 or a 6x48.  you think that could be done?

I don't know why not. Just scale down everything.If you have a machine shop nearby just run it by them. I just explaned it to my local machinist and he did the rest. Bob

love that ridgid sander, i used one a couple years ago to make some fancy laminated bows.  nowadays i just use a hatchet, a rasp, and a knife
