Looks like it is well on its way. Someone will be very happy with that for sure.
It is out of the form (a few days ago).

I need to figure out what to use for the overlays (riser and tips) and add some caps to the belly side of the riser, cut the shelf and shape the riser...Still a fair amount of work to do but it is getting there and the draw weight doesn't look like it will be an issue.

Looking good!
Thats a beauty Trux!
Got to work on it a bit today- but it could be a few weeks before more will be done. Took off the blue tape to see what was under it-- black glass!! Looks pretty good though. Started shaping the tips to get an idea of how things were going to look and rounding/trapping the limbs. Much more to do but it's getting there- at least I'll have time to build another if need be before the ship out date.

Thought I'd see what the weight was- still close to the target so this one may still be the trade bow.

Awsome!
I never really thought that I would like the red accents but it looks great.
Kris
Yea- I debated on it also- with all the black in this bow the little bit of red gives it a nice look- there will be a few more accents added to the back and belly- they will add just a hint of color- as long as my sanding doesn't get too carried away.
Looking good!! Someone will be happy for sure.
Finally got back into town and had some time to work on this bow- even got to shoot a few arrows from it. I still need to do the final sanding on the riser and the apply the finish but it is getting there.

Boy, that's looking sharper than a tack! Great work!
I like your tiller jig. That would be way more handy than my neighbor. The bow looks like it is tillered well. Nice work
Sweet!! Dave, I hope it is just coming up the road a little ways to my place. Not that I am being selfish, just wanted to save you some on shipping. You know I always put my friends first. LOL
Looks great ! Someone is going to be happy !!
Very nice work!
I like it!
Mater the tillering jig/scale works very well- I use to have my wife give me a reading on the scale as I pulled the bow- until I had one get away from me and bounce all over the garage-lol- this saves me that agravation. The bow shoots pretty nice-and the name "black mamba" sticks in my mind when I look at it. We will see what the eventual owner has to say.
Trux, Nice job! I like the red accents. That will make someone happy for sure.
David
I really like the black glass with red accents, looks like a shooter to me
Thanks--it shot very nice the few arrows that went through it- right now it has the first of mutiple coats of tru oil on the riser and I hope to get all the finish done by the end of the weekend- Robert this has a shedua riser like the one you are building now- nice looking stuff.
Sweet!! :bigsmyl:
Nice work!
Ok- so here are some pictures with most of the finish done- still needs a rest, some writing, and maybe I'll make up a fast flight string to test on it before I sent it out. Shoots nice and draws smooth- getting closer to a ship date.

Trux That is one sweet looking bow, Love the handle and grip.
Like I said before I didn't think I would ever like red on a bow but those accents are super sharp.
The guy getting this one is gonna be happy for sure.
Boy that really turned out nice and the lucky draw is going to be excited about that beauty!
crossing my fingers! hope its headed to texas.
Great lookin bow Dave!!
