Looks darn good. I built wood bows for years before I had one that nice.
That crack doesn't show any signs of heading for the edge of your bow, meaning it won't cause a problem. You could fill it with some very thin super glue, but you should be just fine.
VERY nice bow, by the way. I'm with Pat. It took me a lot time to get something that like that out of a stave.
It doesn't look like it bends there at all so I wouldn't worry about it. You might mark the end of it with a pencil and then soot the bow a bunch and see if it has moved. I don't suspect it will since it looks like it stopped in the ring above where your bow starts to work. Good job.
(http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af196/gilbarbarian/purpleheart/purpleheartosagebow-1.jpg)This bow is a little heavy so I shortened it and retillered it, so now it is 62" ntn, 61#@28" the tips are 1/2" wide. Hopefully I didn't take too much off
I can't get enough of those osage selfbows! Good job
looks good man. How does it shoot? That was there from the beginning wasn't it?
Shoots pretty good, I'm still learning where to put the arrow for the sweet spot. Yeah that crack has been there and hasn't grown any. jeff
