--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is Yew D/R character bow that was made from a highly deflexed stave. The stave had over 6" of natural deflex, so It was best suited for a Deflex/Reflexd bow. Often we are so busy looking for straight or naturally reflexed staves that we overlook the potential that is in natural deflexed staves.
This bow is 68" Tip to Tip and comes in at 61 lbs at 28 inches. It has been tillered out to 30 inches and even pulled to 31 several times. The tips are zebra wood ad the finish is minwax polyurethane.

Another beauty, Keenan. You better bring it to the Classic in May or else!!! d;^)
Thanks Guys,
Pat, Thank you, I already trying to figure out what I'm going to take to the Classic. I have to send everything to LuLyns Sisters house in Kentuck. And with the three of us going thats three sets of bows, arrows, quivers and don't forget some knapping tools..lol Somehow I doubt they'd let me on the plane with all that.
Great bow!

Man o live...how cool is that? You should be proud of yourself!
Wow that is a looker for sure.
Keenan, that is a wonderful bow, some of the best work I've seen in yew! Did you use steam or dry heat to put the reflex in the outer limbs?
I have a really nice deflex stave from MOJam a couple years old - clear and fine grained. Everyone was passing it by because of the backset.
Wow, that is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.
Pete
Wow, how the beep did you make it shine so bright? Finest yew bow I've seen in a long, long time. If not the finest ever. Quite a character bow ;)
Wonderful work. Bows like that are the reason we make selfbows.
Man I love those yew bows. Great job.
