Title: Limb issue
Post by: xtrema312 on January 26, 2010, 10:35:00 PM
This is my old Indian bow I had as a kid.  I would like to shoot it some or have the kids shoot it.  I think my parents stored it on end.  The bottom limb when strung doesn't allow the string to contact the limb.  Can this be fixed or shot?

Looks like the tiller is waaaay off,not sure how to correct that.

Maybe someone who has dealt with that prob will happen along!

Like Kenny said the tiller is way off, in that the upper limb is much "stonger" then the lower limb.  Not sure how standing the bow on it's lower limb would affect that to that extent.  Ussually standing the bow on one limb can cause a "twist" but not weaken a limb to that extent.  You could sand the upper limb and remove some material to "weaken" it and bring the limbs back into tiller (back to ussually 1/8" - 3/16" for a 2 finger under shooter).
