This is my latest work. It's not finished yet but I wanted to show you what I have done so far. The limbs are made of bubinga and maple and the riser is zebrano. The bow is 68" NTN and it draws 45"@28#.

I still need to glue on the tips and the overlays and shape em. And then sanding, sanding, sanding and even more sanding...

I like that handle, all the fancy combinations are pretty cool too but sometimes just plain wood is the best way to go.
Has a pretty sexy profile as well. Nice job.
Very nice grain!
Very nice!
That will be one georgous bow when you get it finished up.
Looks good I bet the finish will really make the grain pop!!!
looks great. I wish the bow I'm making now looked that good
Very nice!

I like it. Good job!
Thanks a lot f or the kind words guys. There are two ore three little things that could be better, but all in all I'm very happy with it. I hope I can finish it the next few days.

Shot her the first time that weekend and was amazed how smooth and sweet she's shooting. I believe this is due to the bigger riser and that little extra weight that comes with it. No handshock at all and the arrows are sent down with a good speed. Got her sanded and have applied the first two coats of the finish. Will post some better pics as soon as I'm done with it.

We're trying but it's hard.... don't leave us hangin son......
I'll do my best, but there are still three or four coats to apply and then there is that thing that is called work that keeps you from building bows...

Work is a 4 letter word, but I'm glad to have a job and be able to do it! LOL
Of course you're right. I'm glad to to have a job that brings the food on the table. But when you're in the process of finishing a bow, did you never wish to have that little extra time to apply the last coat right now instead of waiting another day ?
I still have to work a lot on that patience issue...

not quite done...pretty close though!
Nice!!!
You've got me thinking I may just have to use bubinga in my next project.
very nice. how does she shoot?
I shot her a lot lately and she's very nice to shoot. The release of the arrow is very smooth, absolutely no handshock and they hit where I want them to ( as far as my shooting abilities allow it... ). I made the riser bigger as usual, because I like my bows heavier and I think this also helps to that very soft release. The arrow speed is good, I compared with the bows of my buddies and they are more or less the same.
