Wow! Beautiful bows! I feel out of place not having a bow made from osage.
Kris, that is Ash with some cambuim left on the back for camo. It also has pin nocks
Most of mine are in hunting pics.

Bluegill,
Nice bows! What kind of wood?
Ok top pic to bottom
Sinew backed osage 57" ntn 50#@28" and a 67" ntn hickory 45#@28".
Osage 62" ntn 55#@28", aniline dye job.
Ash 68" ntn 60#@28" stained
same Hickory as in pic 1.
Thanks Bluegill. Again, I love your bows.
Hey OsageTree, is the third one down on your first post a black snake/corn snake combo? I have one of those. The skins look exactly like yours. Your bow looks much better than mine though.
OsageTree, I found some pictures of my bow.
Black snake on one end and corn snake on the other.

Scrub-buck my ear! That is a sweet buck in the bed of your tuck! By the way, I like your bow above too!!!
That bow of mine you ask of is called "Two Snakes". Black snake on one limb and common water snake on the other limb.
Warning: water snakes have stinky glands and skin. Once dry they are fine.
Back in 2007 I did a thread called "Homegrown gear" here on the tradgang. You can still find it in the "Classic" section on the main forum page.
Here's a link: http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=39;t=000219
Everyone liked it and some suggested I write an article or book. So,,, I did. Sent it to "Ohio Outdoor News" and they paid me to publish it. First time I ever got paid to hunt! Below is the article but, don't know if you can read it on here or not. Small font once it was scanned.

We want to see all of them Keenan!
Very nice work! Tell us some specs and details,,, how about that handle grip?
SWEET BOWS! Some of the best!!!!
Show us a how to!!!
I agree with Osagetree very nice Keenan
What's the deal with the belly groove?
Thanks Osage and Jack
The belly grove is because that bow was made from syringa and has a large natural pith center. Syringa makes great arrows and sometimes you can find it big enough for a bow.
I'll try to post some specs on some of them and maybe do a buildalong on something.
Very nice bows Steve.
I like your arrow rests too. A build on that would be good too.
Thanks!
David, I love the looks of your 60" selfbow. I recently finished a 60" red oak board bow but it is only 30-33# @ 27". How can I get a 60# bow at 60"? Is it the wood? My bow is a 60" flatbow, almost a pyramid bow. The limbs are 1/4"thick tapering from just under 2" at the fades to 1/2" at the nocks. I followed the instructions on a build-along by Sam Harper and used sheetrock tape as a backing (all my other attempts over the years broke...I was more or less desperate) The bow looks great, shoots well, but isn't strong enough to hunt with.
Thanks,
Stan
PS Can you tell I'm new at this bow making?
