Check out the new Stave Press we have here at Raptor Archery , in the web page under bow building tools. What a great idea.

Looks cool Ted.
Is there any padding to protect the bow's back?
I really like the fact that it can swivel.
Thanks.
Good point , better add that to the description.
Yes , it has a piece of rubber to protect the back as well as to help hold it firm.
Great idea, it would work well bolted to a bench to set at too. Us old fellers gotta set down once and a while. :bigsmyl:
Just saw the same thing in the 3 Rivers Catalog...pretty cool lookin tool
Yeah, Jim Hamm said the same thing about the "Workmate" over 20 years ago! I got one of those ,too! :biglaugh:
I never did like the workmate, tried it but it was not for me, when traveling I use a bowyers bench but here at the store I use both a standard vise as well as the Stave Press, real nice to be able to take it off my work bench and real quick mount it on the post outside to pile all the wood chips out back.

My workmate kills my back
Cool idea, Ted. Why didn't I think about that! d;^)
I used that very stave press in a bow building class it worked great, if you whittle out bows this really works slick!
