Post by: Tyler Langston on December 27, 2009, 10:36:00 AM
I am making a 68" longbow r/d style and am wondering around how many poundsit s goin to pull. It is .213" at the middle and .408 at the tips.

your stack is backwards, thick goes in the middle...  thats a very aggressive tapper 0.005 if my calculator is right.... the length of the riser and width at the fades makes a bit difference as well.  what is your goal weight.  if i where starting on a new one i would start with .360 in the middle,  18" riser and 0.002 or 0.003 tapper.  if you use that stack about .400 with that much taper i think you will need a tip wedge you might come if i had to guess our going to be 50-60# atleast off my forms you would be.  you can run it thru supertiller to see!
