Post by: Lee Lobbestael on November 18, 2009, 07:41:00 PM
Hey I accidently dry fired a hackberry long bow today(arrow slipped off the string) Bow looks completely fine tho. No cracks anywhere! Should I worry or no?  :knothead:    :banghead:    :banghead:

Should be OK, especially if you had a B-50 string on it instead of fast flight.

Shooting selfbows over the past 20 years I've had quite a few nocks breaks with snap on nocks and a couple slip offs with mercury nocks. And never had a bow problems.Even with high poundage bows and fast flight strings.
