Anyone tried to dye white feathers? I have some alcohol based dye, could dip it or spray it.
I've used the Great Northern stuff. I did up a bunch of yellow turkey feathers last summer. Piece of cake and it seems to hold up well. I haven't noticed any bleed out even though they got wet a couple of times this fall. I dipped mine and then layed them on an old window screen to drain and dry.
I dye mine all the time. I buy white ones in bulk and then dye them as required. I mainly use food colouring and have not found any problems with it. I've also used Dylon, I think you guys know it as Rit dye.
